The Spark – 1995
In 1995, when the world was just beginning to discover the internet, a small group of forward-thinking dreamers gathered in Melbourne, Australia. They were technologists, economists, philosophers, and freedom-seekers who shared one belief:

The Long Build – 1995 to 2017
For over two decades, the idea matured quietly, hidden in research labs, coffee shop conversations, and late-night coding sessions. Blockchain wasn’t even born yet, but the Basiq Reserve team already knew something like it had to exist. They explored early cryptography, alternative economic models, and borderless payment systems.

The Official Launch – 2017
